Holly Cole attended a Student Environmental Enrichment Course in 2015, and has since assisted with multiple Student Environmental Enrichment Courses and team building events, and various conferences with ZSL.
A recent Zoology graduate from The University of Exeter, Holly’s dissertation investigated the frequency modulation of the domestic cat’s purr in response to stress. In keeping with the feline theme, she currently works at Cats Protection and is also assisting with The Small Cat Project, researching feline personality, diet and movement behaviour.
She has always been passionate about animal welfare which has developed further through various volunteering commitments, including Cats Protection and a placement in a Zoo overseas. Holly also has a keen interest in captive breeding and subsequent reintroductions and is aiming to get involved in this field of research at a later date.
